Kartell produced the iconic 4855 Stools from polyurethane and metal in the late 1970s as part of a seating system that also included dining chairs. This product consists of a main polymer body and rounded shapes, with a strong geometric design. A soft rubber pad is fitted onto the round seating to ensure comfort. The set of two bar stools is in excellent condition with no signs of wear.
Designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri, the founder of Kartell. Castelli Ferrieri is a strong leader in the Italian design sector mastering the processing of polymers and was the first woman to graduate from the prestigious Politecnico di Milano. In addition to her career as an industrial designer, Castelli Ferrieri has also created prolific work in the field of architecture and urban planning.
