The Dafne Chair, designed in 1979 by Gastone Rinaldi, is constructed from tubular steel and moulded plywood, lacquered in white. This ingenious folding chair was produced for Rinaldi’s own company, Thema, which he founded in the 1970s after working alongside his father in the family firm, Rima.
This sensual design features sweeping curves and elegant lines, encapsulating the visual and formal style of the late 1970s. The Dafne chair was nominated for the Compasso d’Oro industrial design award in 1981.
This piece is in great condition with few signs of usage.
