LCM, short for “Lounge Chair Metal”, is an iconic chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950. Its solid tubular steel structure supports the backrest and seat produced from beautifully structured veneer sheets. Its soft and organic shape have earned the LCM the nickname “potato chip chair”.
This early pair of LCM chairs was produced by Herman Miller. The pair of black chairs is in great condition with very few usage marks consistent with age. The backrest rubber has been restored with original parts.
Charles and Ray Eames remain two of the most important designers of the last century, with their work spanning multiple disciplines including design, fine art, film and architecture.
