The Metafora coffee table was designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli for Casigliani. This beautiful sculptural piece features a thick glass surface which is carried by four freely arrangeable marble elements inspired by Euclidean geometery: the cube, the pyramid, the cylinder and the sphere.
The table is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear to the marble, and a chip on the original glass plate. The object can be supplied with a new glass on request included in the price as the original 20mm plate glass has a chip.
Massimo and Lella Vignelli were influential and prolific Italian designers and architects. The couple made important contributions to graphic and industrial design in the U.S. and Europe throughout the second half of the 20th century.
