The Slat Armchair, also known as ‘Latjesstoel’, was designed by Rud Jan Kokke in 1984. Kokke’s passion for material and construction techniques is evident in this exceptional design. The chair’s frame is made from black laquered oak wood whilst the slats are constructed from solid ash wood, seamlessly glued together to create a robust structure.
This chair was first produced and sold by Kokke himself, with production later continued by Metaform. The Slat Armchair is part of the permanent collection of many prestigious museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Boymans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
The chairs are in great condition, with some signs of use consistent with age.
