Produced in 1977–1989 by Artemide, the Porsenna lamp table version is constructed from a white-painted metal component supporting both the mounting of the diffuser as well as the lightbulb fixture. The diffuser, an opalescent polythene sheet, is curved and stretched by two black metal rods diagonally fixed to the ends of the metal support.
This table lamp is in beautiful vintage condition, with few visible signs of usage and fade to the lampshade color, consistent with age.
Born in Milan in 1920, Magistretti worked mainly in the furniture design field, simultaneously designing exhibition spaces and architecture. During his career, he has established ongoing collaborations with companies such as Oluce, De Padova and Poggi and Artemide.
