Washington is a table lamp originally designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte for the French embassy in Washington DC and produced by Lumen Center Italia in 1983. Its metal body is composed of a circular base on which a thin convex lampshade rests. The joint between these components is a small sphere underlining the rationalist design of this beautiful object and enabling the reflector to rotate 360 degrees. Pair available, both in great condition with minor signs of age.
Jean-Michel Wilmotte is a French architect and designer. He was born in 1945 in Soissons and founded his architectural practice Wilmotte & Associates in Paris in 1975. His work ranges from interior design and architecture to urbanism and industrial design.
